Getting There

Our Daintree executive accommodation is located two hours drive north from Cairns International Airport. The drive follows the coast and is very scenic, taking in beautiful beaches, Australian bush and sugar cane fields. You will pass the towns of Port Douglas and Mossman along the way.

You don’t require a 4×4 to travel up to us.

When traveling from Cairns it is important to note that the roads wind through the rainforest and it is best not to drive at night. We advise guests to travel up in the day.

Port Douglas is about one hours drive north of Cairns, you just drive past the entrance….Mossman is a 10 min drive from Port’s main entrance, and you will drive straight through its charming main street only. Always heading north, now look for signs to Cape Tribulation, it takes about 40 min from Mossman to the Daintree Ferry. Follow the signs to Cape Tribulation It is best to take some cash with you as the Ferry does not always take a card.  The fee to cross the Daintree Ferry is about $24 return.  The Ferry operates from 6am until 12pm each day.

Once you cross the Daintree River by car ferry you will then enter deep in the heart of the Daintree National Park. Straight away you will start feeling the  magnificent effect of the rainforest: a wonderful cool down in temperature! The rainforest works as a giant air conditioner!  You will drive for about 20 minutes or 17km over the amazing Alexandra Range, a picturesque road where you can sometimes sight cassowaries, and other animals.

Past the village of Cow Bay, you will see the pub on the right, keep driving north, go over a little bridge, past the school on your right, past the service station, and then after that, at the second road on the left is Turpentine Road. Take a left on Turpentine, drive to the end (only 1km) and turn left onto Stonewood Rd. We are on number 190 on the left hand side of the road.
